Organized by the Development Bureau, a Policy Announcement Ceremony-cum-Briefing Session was held on 20 October 2020 to brief local architectural and engineering sectors on new measures which allow the Hong Kong consultants and contractors on the government lists to acquire equivalent Mainland qualifications in Qianhai through a registration system promulgated by Qianhai Authority (“QA”). Mr. Benny CHAN, ARB Chairman, Mr. Jeff CHENG, HKIA Council Member, and Mr. Michael KWOK, Member of Board of Mainland Affairs attended the briefing session.

The new measures in Qianhai have been effective from 1 October 2020 for a period of five years. The registration is open to eligible construction enterprises and professionals in Hong Kong, with application forms available.
